Associate Provost for Mental Health and WellbeingThe
OpportunityLesley University seeks a qualified candidate to fill
the position of Associate Provost of Mental Health and Wellbeing on
a full-time, twelve-month basis. Reporting directly to the Vice
Provost of Mental Health and Wellbeing, the successful candidate
will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and managing the
administration of programs within the Mental Health and Wellbeing
domain.The Associate Provost will provide guidance and leadership
to faculty members, fostering a cohesive and collaborative
environment to achieve the university's strategic goals.
Collaborating closely with the Vice Provost and other
administrators, the incumbent will actively promote and implement
university policies and procedures, advocating for the programs'
interests and needs within the framework of the Vice Provost's
office.This position is integral to the academic leadership team,
ensuring that academic programs not only meet high standards of
quality but are also compelling in the marketplace and financially
sustainable. The Associate Provost will contribute significantly to
Lesley University's commitment to mental health and wellbeing,
playing a key role in shaping and advancing these critical programs
within the institution.Qualities and Capabilities
- Ph.D. in a discipline represented among the Mental Health and
Wellbeing graduate programs. (Expressive Therapies, Counseling
Psychology, or related fields)
- Licensure and practice in Mental Health Counseling
required.
- Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in academic administration, and a demonstrated
ability to work with faculty members and administrative colleagues
in an academic leadership role.
- Evidence of creativity in supporting and developing academic
programs and an understanding of the interplay between academic and
institutional priorities, resource requirements, and budget
planning.
- Skills to measure and analyze data in support of program and
policy recommendations.
- Graduate teaching and advising experience.
- Knowledge of relevant state Massachusetts and national
professional licensure/certification requirements and processes
