Global Partners LP, a leader in the distribution of petroleum and renewable fuels, seeks a Commodity Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in providing expertise in commodity-related accounting and financial reporting. The Commodity Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting of commodity transactions and ensure they align with both internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations and supply chain, to optimize financial processes and maintain regulatory compliance. Manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for commodity transactions. Ensure compliance with financial policies and external regulations, including GASB and FASB standards. Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to align financial operations with commodity movements. Monitor market trends to advise on potential financial impacts and risk mitigation strategies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements specific to commodity accounts. Conduct variance analysis and generate detailed reports to aid in decision-making. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department. Strong understanding of commodity markets and related financial instruments. Experience with risk management and financial compliance (GASB, FASB). Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Certification in Financial Forensics (CFF) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus.
