active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Physical
Therapist position is available at an elementary school in Newport,
NH for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role
focuses on providing physical therapy services tailored to the
educational environment, supporting students physical development
and participation in school activities. Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to elementary-aged
students. - Assess student needs and develop individualized
treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families. -
Monitor and document student progress in therapy goals. - Consult
with teachers, staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic
strategies into the school day. - Ensure compliance with state and
federal regulations related to school-based therapy services.
Qualifications and Skills: - Valid licensure as a Physical
Therapist, with experience in school-based settings preferred. -
Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy techniques and educational
accommodations. - Ability to collaborate effectively within a
multidisciplinary school team. - Strong communication skills to
interact with students, families, and staff. - Familiarity with
healthcare documentation and school-based service delivery models.
