Manager will lead a team focused on sustaining engineering,
document control, cost optimization (VAVE), and cross-functional
support for a leading commercial fryer manufacturer. This role
ensures product reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement
for existing product lines, while collaborating closely with
operations, quality, service, and supply chain teams. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned. Lead sustaining engineering activities for existing
fryer product lines, ensuring performance, reliability, and
manufacturability. Activities include, but not limited to,
projects, FMEAs, and Root Cause Analysis. Address field issues and
implement corrective actions promptly. Manage component
obsolescence and lifecycle updates. Oversee engineering
documentation processes, including BOMs, drawings, and
specifications, per engineering procedures. Ensure compliance with
UL, NSF, CE, and other applicable regulatory standards. Drive VAVE
initiatives to identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities
without compromising quality or safety. Collaborate with suppliers
and internal teams to optimize design and manufacturing processes.
Partner with Operations, Quality, service, and Supply Chain to
resolve technical challenges and support manufacturing transitions.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and mentor
engineering staff, fostering a culture of accountability and
innovation. Adhere to all departmental and company-wide safety and

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or related
field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing
environment, preferably in foodservice equipment. Experience in
sustaining engineering, document control, and cost optimization
(VAVE) required. Familiarity with UL, NSF, CE compliance standards
preferred. Leadership experience managing engineering teams and
cross-functional projects. Language Skills Ability to read,
analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the
public. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and
amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply
concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability
to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills Must have
knowledge of database software, internet software, spreadsheet
