Job Description:

Modern general dentistry practice in quiet Arlington neighborhood on Mass. Ave. (plenty of free--parking) is offering a position for a dental assistant, part-time or full-time. New construction office built for an exceptionally safe and healthy patient and staff environment. Looking for a professional, kind, dental assistant to join a caring--staff; to make a real difference in the lives of patients by encouraging excellent dental health. Applicants should have at least--1--year of experience in this position and have the appropriate credentials.

We are looking for--the--right person to fill this position and will offer salary and benefits accordingly. (sick days, paid holidays, vacation time, health coverage, 401k Retirement Plan).

Responsibilities:

--- Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
--- Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
--- Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients' teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up
--- Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during appointment
--- Get treatment rooms ready for for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials


Qualifications:

--- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential
--- Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary
--- Need to possess Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate or an RDA state license by the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB)
