ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Manchester, New Hampshire. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Tele Job Details: • Work on Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit with 23 beds plus 1 treatment room • Patient ratios: Day/Evening shifts 1:4, Night shifts 1:5 • Every other weekend required • Float within alike areas as needed • Must have cardiac telemetry knowledge and experience • Required certification: ACLS • Knowledge and skills required for cardiac medical and procedural patients including cardiac catheterizations and cardiac drips • Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, some rooms hard-wired • Equipment includes vein finder for IV therapy, portable and continuous pulse oximetry, manual/automatic vital sign machines, blood glucose monitors, mechanical lifts, and dopplers • Use Allscripts EMR system with medication scanning capabilities • Care for hemodynamically stable MI patients, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset Afib, stable dysrhythmias • Handle procedural patients including cardiac catheterizations, ablations, cardioversions, ICD, pacers • Administer cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, renal dose Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips • Also care for ICU transfers, neuro patients, and pulmonary patients requiring BiPap and high-flow oxygen • Hospital scrubs required • Must be engaging, team-oriented, flexible, and patient-centered Facility: This medical center provides comprehensive cardiac care services with a specialized cardiac telemetry unit.
