The University of Vermont Medical Center, situated at the forefront of health innovation in Burlington, VT, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging/CT Technologist. This role is critical in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services that are crucial for the accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for our patients. As part of our premier medical services team, you will operate sophisticated imaging equipment, collaborate with radiologists to interpret image results, and ensure patient comfort and safety during diagnostic procedures. Operate CT and Radiographic equipment to produce images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels. Work with other healthcare professionals, such as radiologists, to interpret the images obtained. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to safety regulations concerning radiation exposure. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with other medical staff to improve patient outcomes through accurate diagnostic procedures. Proficiency in operating CT imaging systems. Strong analytical skills to interpret diagnostic images. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Medical Insurance 401k Certified and registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid and current certification in CT technology is highly preferred.
