seeking a highly motivated, creative, and rigorous Senior Scientist
I/II to join our Neuroscience Discovery team, as part of the
Movement Disorders pillar. The successful candidate will play a key
role in identifying, evaluating, and characterizing novel
biologic-based bispecific molecules using human induced pluripotent
stem cell (iPSC)-derived dopaminergic neurons and mouse primary
neuronal cultures. This role requires strong experimental design,
hands-on cell culture experience, and a collaborative spirit to
enable high-quality data generation and decision making in support
of AbbVies strategic neuroscience portfolio. Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and typically 12 years of
experience, Masters Degree or equivalent education and typically 10
years of experience, PhD and typically 4 years of experience.
Demonstrated expertise in human iPSC-derived neuronal culture;
experience with dopaminergic neuron models strongly preferred.
Proficiency in mouse/rodent primary neuron culture and molecular or
imaging-based assays (e.g., calcium imaging, immunocytochemistry,
high-content screening). Experience with mouse in vivo systems is a
plus Experience working with protein or antibody-based modulators
and understanding biologics mechanisms of action is a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving
skills; ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
