The therapist will have a primary team/service area, but will support a rotating service model. The schedule comprises 8-hour days primarily Monday through Friday, with anticipated weekend work once per month. If a weekend is worked, the therapist will receive a weekday off during the pay period. No holiday coverage is anticipated. The role involves assisting patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. The therapist will restore patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results. They will determine physical therapy treatment goals and plans. The role includes administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and using assistive and supportive devices. Responsibilities include completing billing sheets accurately by the end of the day. The therapist will evaluate the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. They will perform patient assessments and establish a plan of care. The therapist will identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. They will discuss evaluations, goals, and treatment with both patients and their families. The position requires supervising Physical Therapy Assistants according to organization policy and state regulations. Experience completing an internship or apprenticeship program is required.
