Key member of ElevateBio BaseCamp Commercial Operations team
Build a strong Pipeline of BaseCamp projects with Strategic
Partners by identifying Leads, Opportunities, and progressing those
Opportunities to signed contracts
Develop pricing strategies and parameters for strategic partners
that allows for the profitable use of BaseCamp resources and
capacity consistent with market rates and expectations
Develop solutions across all therapeutic areas, including viral
vectors, cell therapies, and IPSCs, for strategic partners from
early phase through commercial
Establish a strong network within the cell and gene therapy
industry and build relationships with key decision makers
Evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities and
makes recommendations to senior management
Represent ElevateBio Base Camp manufacturing business and
promote service offering at conferences and tradeshows.
Spend time in the field networking and attending conferences to
generate new prospects, leads and opportunities.
Work closely with the proposal and Commercial Development team
on assessing opportunities and developing a tailored proposal and
value proposition to client
Develop, nurture and maintain a strong network in the Cell and
Gene Therapy market from which to drive future opportunities.
Work closely to promote BaseCamp with marketing resources to
support trade shows, roadshows, conferences, branding, messaging,
Structure deals, lead the negotiation process, and close deals
with the support from Commercial Operations.
Minimum BSc degree in Life Sciences with 10 years + previous
commercial experience (Business Development, Marketing, Sales) in
the biopharmaceutical industry.
Advanced Business Degree (MBA) and/or PhD degree in
bioprocessing, biology, and bioengineering are highly
B2B sales experience preferably in a contract development or
manufacturing environment highly preferred
Demonstrated record of successful negotiation of multi-million
dollar service contracts.
Experience with delivering presentations to Senior Executives
with the result of achieving buy-in for next step in the sales
Proof of an established network of Influencers and Buyers in the
cell and gene therapy and biopharmaceutical industry.
Experience with outlining, structuring, and delivering different
types of deals including licensing, service, pipeline
Travel ~50% of time unless COVID-19 restrictions are in
Proficient in understanding the individual stages of a B2B sales
process, customer segmentation, and targeting
Solid understanding of the Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy
industry and trends
Strong understanding of financial and legal concepts as they
related to service agreements, including Revenue recognition,
Knowledge of key concepts of process development and
manufacturing under cGMP
Good understanding of drug development including
Familiar with SalesForce or other customer management system
Strong interpersonal, relationship and networking skills.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to clients.
Solid understanding of business and financial fundamentals.
Strong and demonstrated negotiation skills is a MUST-HAVE to
qualify for this position.
