Job Description:


Cadmus seeks a qualified climate planning specialist for our Sustainability & Energy practice to support our growth in state and local climate change services. This position will advise clients seeking to decrease emissions, increase sequestration, and strengthen resiliency to climate impact, through the development, management, and refinement of GHG emission inventories, and support for climate mitigation and resilience planning efforts. Cadmus is a leading provider of climate and sustainability consulting services to states, counties, local governments companies, and at the federal government level. The successful candidate will provide technical support across several projects at all levels of government. The candidate will also play a leading role in mentoring and training junior staff and supporting the management of the team.


  • Lead or support the delivery of projects for clients with a focus on:
  • GHG emissions accounting
  • Climate action planning
  • Climate vulnerability and risk assessment
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Equitable program design

  • Lead in business development, including sell-on to exiting clients and growing our client base;
  • Lead in the development and improvement of services related to climate.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Change, Risk Management, Engineering, Energy, or a related environmental discipline
  • 8-10 years of industry related experience (or equivalent considering post-graduate study) in sustainability, risk management, energy, and/or management consulting;
  • Direct experience working in a consulting firm or similar environment;
  • Candidates should be passionate about sustainability, self-motivated and self-directed, collaborative, and able to produce high-quality work products;
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills;
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented and project-based environment on multiple projects at once;
  • Desire to take on new challenges and continued professional development; and
  • Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and sectors.
  • Some travel, post-COVID will be required
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

  • A Masters degree in Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Change, Risk Management, Engineering, Energy, or a related environmental discipline would require a minimum of 6 years of industry related experience.
