You will be based in our Atlanta, Chicago or Waltham office as a member of our TechOps team which is part of McKinsey's ClienTech that has over 200 dedicated technical professionals.

You'll combine 'Agile' with expertise in cloud, big data and mobile to create and maintain custom solutions in a way consistent with SRE principles that help clients increase productivity and make timely decision.

In this role, your tasks will include, but is not limited to, development, implementation and operation of IT systems and processes supporting SaaS applications and platforms, automation of provisioning, quality controls, security auditing and maintenance, continuous measurement and improvement of efficiency of operational activities and resources.

You will learn new technology skills such as cloud, orchestration, network and operating system with a strong focus on open source products. You will also contribute to the continued skill building of the tribe.

• Degree in systems engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience working as a systems automation engineer and site reliability engineer
• Experience working with Multi-Cloud Platforms and Services (AWS, Azure), Docker, Kubernetes and microservices
• Working knowledge of Terraform, Helm, Ansible, CloudFormation
• Deep expertise troubleshooting complex distributed systems
• Solid understanding of automation principles; programming experience using frameworks such as Python/Go/Bash
• Experience with CI/CD tooling similar to Circle CI, Jenkins, Git
• Strong understanding of security, logging, monitoring and performance aspects of cloud-native platform and application architectures
• Experienced in the UNIX/Linux world
• Experience working with large databases running on MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Experience in operations teams (SRE), support of prod (monitoring, troubleshooting)
• Proven track record delivering high quality and consistent systems and environments for development team
• Ability to see gaps and areas of improvement in process as well as technologies; ability to provide recommendations and take the initiative to fix issues
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
