Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C., a division of Johnson &
Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a Senior Scientist,
Antibody Discovery Platform Development located in Cambridge, MA.
At Janssen, we never stop working toward a future where disease is
a thing of the past. We're the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson
& Johnson, and you can count on us to keep working tirelessly to
make that future a reality for patients everywhere, by fighting
sickness with science, improving access with ingenuity, and healing
hopelessness with heart. We focus on areas of medicine where we can
make the biggest difference: Cardiovascular & Metabolism,
Immunology, Infectious Diseases & Vaccines, Neuroscience, Oncology,
and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Visit us: As a member of the
In Vivo Antibody Discovery Group, you will be responsible for
development and optimization of efficient antibody discovery
platforms. As part of platform development effort, you will lead
and drive the analysis of antibody repertoire from immunized
animals and from enriched CHO libraries. Responsibilities ---
Contribute to development and evaluation of emerging technologies
and platforms for antibody discovery through repertoire analysis
from immunized animals or CHO display library --- Lead antibody
generation using CHO display platform to screen immune repertoire
--- CHO display library preparation with targeted integration using
CRISPR/Cas9 or RMCE --- Regular presentation of data in team
meeting, effective communication and coordination of work in highly
matrixed project team environment --- This will involve designing
and implementing NGS experiments to generate sequence data to
characterize the antibody repertoire at different stages of
antibody discovery. --- In addition to your primary
responsibilities related to repertoire analysis with NGS, you may
also be involved in mouse genetic engineering to improve antibody
discovery efficiency. --- This may involve techniques such as
CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing to introduce specific mutations or
modifications to the mouse genome. --- A strong understanding of
B-cell isolation methods such as Hybridoma technology and primary
B-cell sorting will also be important. --- This is a critical
function in a multifaceted Biologics Discovery organization
committed to bringing the next generation of biotherapeutic
molecules to patients. --- We are looking for a motivated candidate
with scientific and technical expertise who can collaborate across
discovery areas to bring value to our portfolio of innovative drug
concepts. --- Proficiency to lead within a highly coordinated,
fast-paced environment will be a significant attribute. --- An
additional knowledge base in the areas of oncology, immunology,
infectious disease, or cardiovascular disease would be a plus. If
this sounds like you, come join our team!
