The energy transition, particularly electrification, is a key focus; leveraging our expertise in signal processing, machine learning, communication systems, and circuit design to accelerate electrical distribution grid transformation.We seek a highly motivated Principal Research Scientist experienced in developing algorithms, software, and systems for the electrical grid. The role involves working collaboratively in a hands-on environment to solve challenging, impactful problems. The candidate should have experience deploying software with significant novel algorithms to grid OT/IT systems such as ADMS, DERMS, GIS, and FLISR, and understand operational constraints.The responsibilities include:

• Creating, analyzing, and implementing novel software, algorithms, and systems for electrification and grid modernization.
• Advancing the state-of-the-art for electrical transmission & distribution grids to facilitate renewable and distributed energy resources adoption.
• Leading prototyping efforts and pilot deployments.
• Collaborating with business and hardware teams to integrate requirements, analyze data, and inform hardware design.
• Staying updated on algorithms, research, and trends relevant to the energy sector.
• Navigating ambiguity in early-stage programs and mentoring colleagues.Qualifications:

• PhD + 5 years of industrial or academic experience (or equivalent).
• Strong background in algorithms and systems for transmission/distribution grids.
• Experience deploying operational products on the electrical grid.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach, with increasing technical responsibility.
